This is the blog of Furry Brains. Furry Brains is a software development and design firm of sorts. I started Furry Brains in 2007 really just as a way of organizing some of my side projects.

Here’s a bit about me, Jim Dalton, the guy behind Furry Brains:

• In my day job, I’m the director of development at ERE Media. ERE is a B2B media company targeting the recruitment profession.
• I majored in English in college. It sounds bad given what I do now, but I actually think the intellectual balance and analytical skills I acquired in college are a big help to me today.
• I’ve been designing websites for about eight years now, and actually writing serious code for about three. So I’m seasoned on many issues and pretty much a novice when it comes to others. I expect people will learn more from ignorance than my wisdom on this blog.
• I live in Portland, Oregon, with my wife, Heidi, and daughter, Rilke.
